JH Science Academy
Robotics Mentor
August 2015 - September 2015
The JH Science Academy hosts various VEX robotics summer camps in South Korea. Every year, a handful of students from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) are chosen to serve as mentors along with the head of CAMS Robotics.
We led various workshops to teach the students robotics basics. This included teaching them how to create engineering drawings, understand simple mechanisms, select motors and gear ratios, assemble mechanical components, write programs for autonomous and driver-control periods, and develop game strategies. We also prepared a game in which the students could test and show off their completed robots.
